Diverse Learning Environments

Infants

  1. Safe and comfortable sleeping areas: Infants need a safe and comfortable space to rest and sleep. Each infant will have their own crib or bassinet with a firm mattress and a fitted sheet.

  2. Diaper changing station: There's  a designated area for changing diapers, with a clean, flat surface and easy access to supplies such as diapers, wipes, and diaper cream.

  3. Feeding area: Infants need to be fed frequently, so we have a comfortable area for nursing or bottle-feeding. If formula is used, there's a designated area for preparing and storing it.

  4. Stimulating toys and activities: Infants need plenty of opportunities for sensory stimulation and exploration, so we have a variety of age-appropriate toys and activities available.

  5. Child-friendly furniture: The furniture in the room is child-sized and easy to clean, with rounded edges and no sharp corners.

  6. Adequate staffing: Infants require a lot of attention and care, so we have a sufficient number of trained caregivers to provide individualized attention and respond to each infant's needs.

Toddlers

  1. Safe and comfortable sleeping areas: Toddlers may still need to nap during the day, so there are designated area for naptime with clean, comfortable, and age-appropriate sleeping materials.

  2. Child-sized furniture: The furniture in the room is appropriately sized for toddlers, with rounded edges and no sharp corners. This includes chairs, tables, and bookshelves.

  3. Age-appropriate toys and activities: Toddlers need plenty of opportunities for exploration and hands-on learning. There is a variety of age-appropriate toys, books, and activities available that promote language development, gross motor skills, and social-emotional development.

  4. Creative play areas: Toddlers enjoy engaging in creative play, so we have a designated area for art, music, and dramatic play. This area should be easily accessible and stocked with a variety of age-appropriate materials.

  5. Safe play equipment: Toddlers are active and love to explore, so we have safe, age-appropriate equipment available for climbing, crawling, and exploring.

  6. Adequate staffing: Toddlers require close supervision, so we have a sufficient number of trained caregivers to provide individualized attention and respond to each child's needs.

Preschool

At Little Heart's Childcare, we offer a stimulating and nurturing preschool program that is designed to support the cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development of children aged 3 to 5 years old. Our preschool room is thoughtfully designed to create a welcoming and engaging environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning.

We offer a comprehensive curriculum that is tailored to meet the needs and interests of each child, with a focus on hands-on learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Our program includes a variety of age-appropriate activities such as circle time, sensory play, art, music, and outdoor exploration.

Our highly qualified and experienced teachers provide individualized attention and support to each child, fostering a love of learning and a sense of curiosity about the world around them. We prioritize safety and security in our preschool room, with child-friendly furniture, age-appropriate materials, and a low teacher-to-child ratio to ensure that each child receives the attention and care they need.

Pre-K

At Little Heart's Childcare, we offer a dynamic and comprehensive Pre-K program that is designed to prepare children aged 4 to 5 years old for success in kindergarten and beyond. Our Pre-K room is carefully designed to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning.

Our Pre-K program focuses on a holistic approach to education, with an emphasis on hands-on learning, critical thinking, and social-emotional development. We offer a comprehensive curriculum that covers a range of subjects, including language and literacy, math, science, social studies, art, and music. Our program is aligned with state and national standards, ensuring that each child receives the education they need to succeed in school and beyond.
